These picture were taken during a vacation in Spain, I went with my girlfriend and we made stops in Madrid, Zaragaoza and Barcelona. So a fair warning if you're expecting a strong emphasis on architecture and lots of detailed, artistic shots. This is not that kind of thread.
So anyway, Madrid. Doesn't need much introduction. Capital of Spain. One of the largest cities in Europe, just an all around major city.
View of the royal palace after lending on a red eye
Plaza de Espana (with a vaguely Soviet looking building in the background)
Up and around the Royal Palace
Streets surrounding the Plaza de la Puerta Del Sol (the city's central meeting spot)
Street performers and such...
La Mallorquina, a Madrid landmark (crazy busy, delicious pastries and cafe con leche)
All roads lead to....Madrid?
Plaza Mayor, very medieval vibe
Older part of town...
Madrid's MOMA
A little taste of the botanical gardens
Puerta de Toledo
A little bit of modernity
Views from Teleferico de Madrid (cable car)
Casa De Campo (5 times bigger than Central Park)
Back to the city
Who doesn't like a sunset?
Nobody, that's who
Not tapas, pinchos! Little chef created open faced sandwiches. So effing good and cheap...
Empty streets on May 1st, a national holiday.
To the train station!
Where there are lots of.....turtles?
Yup, turtles...
I guess they're being ironic
Nest stop, Zaragoza!
