Campbell wants the Vezina!!!

Holy crap

---

Shame about the team in front of him.

A pretty competitive/even game, but our positioning is terrible.

3 defenders and they have position?

Outscored 10-1 in the third this season.

Can't wait to hear coach Woody's recap and excuses.

1. real close, lot's of good things to pull from this
2. not at our 'desired level' of effort
3. gotta sort the little things out
4. we've got'em next time
5. focus on the prize

Has anyone, ever, ever seen 3 x too many men on the ice?

Looking at you bench.

I'm pretty sure Edmonton could put any Vezina winner from the last twenty years in net and drop their save percentage by 25%.

Amateur hockey. Marginal effort, no drive, zero tenacity and very little leadership it seems.

Get your Blue Lagoon and put your legs up boys, that cruise ship is heading to port 2.

Wasn't this supposed to be the new and improved oilers this season ? I know unpopular but I would trade McDavid for a package of star depth players to even out and balance the oilers roster.

Keep 97, trade 29 (which people give me shit for every time I bring it up) and get a solid 3rd liner and a top 4.
----

I don't feel any sense of urgency now that we are 10% of the way through the season with a team going 'Cup or Bust' and at the moment imploding on all fronts.

'we have yet to play a full 60'.... at this stage and cycle. Where is the player accountability?

'In a funk' means that at some point (this year) that you weren't.

I am hearing 'hope' and 'that's the goal' in almost every, single interview Jay. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

They maybe had two good scoring chances after it was 3-0.

Queue the next season will be different comments.

I think if you can get the right package back - 29 is the one to trade.

Tons of talent, but he always seems to be grumpy.

Grumpy? He is just German.

It's a bad start. They can go 7 and 3 in the next 10

They can maybe beat San Jose on November 9th.

There are always ups and downs, but the games so far have just lacked effort overall.

Common theme over past seasons.

Yet they make the playoffs and win rounds.

Too much talent.

Could be wrong.

Oilers win! Oilers win!

Weekly Canadian rankings.

Vancouver - went 2-1 last week and still riding their goal differential (thanks Edmonton)
Toronto - 2-1 last week with an OT loss. Still worried about the defense, but as long as they generate standings points it is not terrible.
Montreal - 3-1 last week tied with Vancouver and Montreal with most standings points per game, but the underlying numbers suggest this team is maybe not as good as their record
Ottawa - 1-2 this week and better underlying numbers than Montreal, but they need to start converting good play into standings points
Winnipeg - 2-1 with an overtime loss. Making the most of getting points out of games
Edmonton - 1-2 this week and 2 very poor losses. Saved by an outdoor game or they are the bottom
Calgary - sheesh, 0-3 this week and now a 5 game losing streak

GO OILERS GO!

Twas a fun day with lots of folks Downtown in ICE District, a well executed event on site, but they should have integrated transit tickets with the game ones. That was a gong show.
