Knowing the the thread topic, I'm obviously missing something somewhere; but what's the reference here?

I feel embarrassed asking about it.

"After the Storm"?

Don't you mean "After Picking Up My Mandible Off the Floor and Reattaching It To My After Looking At That Picture For the First TIme?

I meant that. Yep....

EDIT: I still for the life of me cannot find the RCA Building in this photograph.

That's how massive this is.

I believe RCA is hidden behind the Citigroup Tower.

^^
Briefly on that tangent; is it reasonable to suggest that SCOTUS's decision to allow sports gambling at all levels could be used as a leveraging tool for funding future projects?

I would think that going forward, mayoral and gubernatorial candidates nationwide can use a certain percentage of the profits made from it to improve their municipalities rather than waiting for funding from other sources, entities, etc.

I kinda figured that too.

And I'm also trying to figure out what's trying to hide behind Bloomberg/731 Lex....not to hijack the thread.

Feel free to PM me if you know. TYVM.

^ Really amazing that you can plainly see the cantilevered ob deck at 30 Hudson from the roof of the Met. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, but I am nonetheless.

It is truly like something out of a sci-fi movie

[QUOTE=NYguy;8193241]I can't wait for it to come off so we can finally see what the facade looks like.

From a few of these angles, it looks like it may have cleared One57 and the 1,000 ft mark. I haven't been in the city in a few weeks to take a good look. Climbing fast now.

2 questions:

1. Where did you get that render from?

2. Is the glass on the parapet and upper floors transparent?

1. I edited the current 220 CPS design in the original render
2. Looks like it, will probably be held up by a steel structure

For me, what is precisely the joy I derive from watching this rise is starting to change from the sheer height of it---although that's still a big aspect---is the facade.

It now looks as if we have three distinct skins on this, including the quite ethereal crown, which to me looks like a symmetric, geometrized realization of the undulating base.
