Very hard to tell from driving by but there does seem to be quite a few cut outs in the concrete that is in place that would appear to be tree wells.

The south end of the stadium needs to have a lot of trees. Both to block the wind going into the stadium and to block the noise floating out to BDH's back yard.

Scoreboard is NICE!.

For the blank wall in the NW corner they should go with an old school manual "home/visitors" board with numbers that get swapped by a guy on a ladder.

Anybody have a guess on where the "ring of honour" will go? Looks like the Grey Cup flags are going outside the stadium by the Pride walls.

Man, those old stadiums (and dare I say new Hamilton stadium) feel like they start out with an asphalt parking lot. Then just stick some grass on, put some stands here, and boom you have a stadium.

New Mosaic is looking great by the way!

Taylor Field/Old Mosaic started out as an open grass field. Stands were built on one side of it. Stands were then built on the other side of it. Eventually the stands were rebuilt and expanded. Later, a major addition was done on one side, and then the grass was replaced by turf. Finally, end zone seating was added. When you look at the current stadium you look at at least four generations of construction, maybe more.

Oh ya. But just saying compared to the new stadiums which are below grade most of the time. Same happened with old Winnipeg Stadium, built a bit at a time.

Speaking of old Canadinns, I assume its leveled by now. I looked on google and there appears to be a large Target there, unless I have the location wrong?

Good thing they have a supervisor marking the location for the trees with a big orange "x". Wouldn't want a tree planted outside the box.

Yeah, IIRC they began demolition in the spring after the final season.

Funny thing about the Target is that the company built a rather large and elaborate store on a part of the site, but it ended up shutting down just a few months later when the chain pulled out of Canada.

Some images from last nights closing ceremonies for Taylor Field/Mosaic Stadium in Regina. What an event for a truly Canadiana facility.

Useful overhead graphic showing the extent of roof coverage and tree locations.

Beautiful facility. As far as facilities that look like toilets go. ;-)

So I just noticed, the canopy doesn't cover to the front row along the sidelines??? Never mind front row, the top row of lower bowl? The most expensive seats, except for suites, are left out in the rain? Not to take away from a beautiful new facility, but that's a disappointment.

But great show to send off Taylor Field!
