The board of the Co-Op Storstugan, in the northwestern Stockholm suburb of Täby want to build more housing on their land. On the surface parking lot behind their large semi-circular high-rise. The proposal is to build perimeter blocks in a grid (they might fit 5 or 6 on that parking lot) and to either have 2 towers at 60 floors each or one tower of up to 105 floors. The director of the board says the 105 floor proposal is to have something to negotiate with during the planning process and still end up with the 75 floors they proposed for the one tower version earlier.

The head of the co-op board, Lars, is leaving (moving) so he's left the board. Since he's bee nthe main actor in getting the plan to develop this might not be the best news for it. But, 7 out of 11 board members remain on the new board and Lars is saying the case for it is still good and still thinks it'll get built.
In the fall the residents will vote on the plan . Either the plan dies or the official planning process with the City begins.
