Let's compare the 7 largest metropolitan areas of Germany

After reading this in another section here at SSP , I would like to compare the seven largest metropolitan areas of Germany.

In terms of business:

1. Frankfurt
2. Berlin
3. Hamburg
4. Munich
5. Cologne/Stuttgart
:
Above we have already 6 so the Rhein/Ruhr area is certainly number seven.

Cologne the media capital of Germany? What I've always heard is that Hamburg is the ultimate Medienhauptstadt of Germany, and it truly seems that the city is packed with publishing companies, newspapers, radios, television stations, music labels etc.

Well, and the advertising agencies with the highest turnover are located in Frankfurt. Reality is, there is no single "media", or "business" or "culture" capital. One aspect might be slightly stronger in a certain city than the other but often it is very hard to attribute a clear lead to a certain city.
