Sorry guys no webcam, but since this (I love it, but also fu*cking hate it) project is right under my nose, I'll be posting lots of update pics.

I'm just praying that a crane does not go up on that site. My amazing surround view will be ruined.

It's called a hoe ram. Used to break up rock, etc.

Yes this is an older rendering the apartment building is different and the office building is in reverse meaning the taller part of the building is actually going to be facing West Peachtree Street

Wow. I wonder if they intend for NS to be the anchor tenant of a larger project rather than just the sole tenant.

The article on Bizjournal said Norfolk was anchoring Project Fusion, which would imply not being the sole tenant.

They have updated the article to indicate it is now part of a 1.4M sq ft. development.

Quote:
Atlanta real estate company Cousins Properties Inc. (NYSE: CUZ) has filed plans to develop a 1.4 million-square-foot development in Midtown’s Technology Square anchored by the new Norfolk Southern Corp. headquarters.

The project at 650 West Peachtree St. includes 1.3 million square feet of office space and about 12,000 square feet for retail space, according to plans filed with the state through its Development of Regional Impact (DRI) program.
They still state NS will be in a development with 856K of space - so maybe that is one tower, and another 500K or so in a second tower? If so, that would be a solid height tower, even with a fairly large floor plate.

If it's really being presented at the next DRC meeting, then it'll be about 3 weeks.
