These are some awesome pics! I really appreciate living in SLC after moving here from Vegas, Salt Lake is a clean city whereas Vegas is not so much. The house I lived in was on the far north end of Vegas and there was always crazy amounts of garbage blowing through my yard! Again, nice pics.

I love L.A, but many people are far more pushy about their various dogmas, than in Salt Lake City.
I have never had an issue with anybody pushing their religion on me at work, school or anywhere else in the 13 years I've lived here. Perhaps it is an industry thing.

The library design does look quite similar. I wonder if they had similar architects?

I think your right. It is probably more of an industry thing. Politics, religion, etc. I should say also I've enjoyed a wealth of positive and interesting discussions in L.A. also.

Very nice photos, I haven't been to SLC but you make it look lovely. Though those 'bald' hills like you see in SLC and Boise always look strange to me, theyre not quite deserty, not quite forest its an odd, unique look.

SLC needs a baseball team I've just decided. Lovely summer weather, it seems like a good spot for one. Too bad the Marlins got a new stadium deal worked out, I would've rather them moved out west somewhere (SLC, Vegas or maybe PDX).

Thanks for all the comments guys. I think I was able to accomplish what I set out to do when I created the series.

Hoover: I know what you mean about those 'hills'. To me though, that's what Boise's mountains look like in general, while in Salt Lake they're just these little hills behind the city that lead into the real mountains, which you typically see in the Salt Lake and Utah.

A lot of people out here have mentioned an MLB team as well, though the market isn't that great yet. Hockey to me also seems like a good fit with the winter sport atmosphere - I wouldn't mind the Coyotes actually

Excellent series! Very illuminating to see how underrated Utah is with respect to urbanity and the diversity of the natural beauty that lies between the cities.

Is that dude playing air guitar? awesome. Mormons creep me out (Prop. 8) but there is a lot to admire about SLC: the scenery, the transit and the commitment to downtown.

Fantastic work Tony. this is some of the best I have seen of Salt Lake. You really made it look bustling and vibrant, something I don't see too often in photos of Downtown SLC.

This is one of the most underrated cities in the US. I want to visit.

Also, the women are hot (based on this one at least).
