Progress continues at 242 West 53rd Street in Midtown West, where CetraRuddy’s proposed 59-story tower has now begun to rise. The site previously hosted Roseland Ball, the renowned NYC live music club, and its demolition was mourned by many. Developed by Algin Management, the new mixed-use residential building will top out at 625 feet, hosting 426 no fee residences and three stories retail space at the base levels. The tower will host residences ranging from studios to two-bedrooms units, as well as some duplexes on the upper floors and a four-bedroom penthouse to top it all off.
