Property and development committee has the application coming before it on July 4 for the connection from City Place to TNS.

Nice, I hope they fix up the MTS-->cityplace one... it's hideous.

That one is kind of weird... when the MTS Centre was built they put on a bit of cladding from that building but left most of the original faux-vintage look from the 1993-94 renovations in place. It's an odd mishmash.

^I think it's actually the glass for the Skywalks - take a close look at the rendering of the skywalk to cityplace.

Looks like they finally gave us a reason, instead of a broken link.

Just for fun I snapped this phone shot of TNS looking NE from St. Mary Ave. It's from a bit of a distance and meant to show the wider context of the site.

Thanks for the photo. They're working on the 9th floor slab for the office tower right now. Not sure if they're done with the roof concrete on the podium just yet, but should be close.

Even at its current size TNS would be a formidable new building. It'll be cool to see the next 5-6 storeys go up as it starts to break out of the base of the downtown skyline.

Also, I noticed the pillars for the apartment tower are circular for the first couple of floors and then become rectangular in shape starting at 3. Any idea why?

Possibly aesthetics? Maybe the circular pillars will be exposed and the rectangular ones won't be

Is this the live cam from their website? Cause that still seems to be down.
Its a great shot though, the cam should be located there.

Oh, that's a great perspective. I wasn't that into the construction cam before, but there is quite a lot more to look at now... good stuff.
