Its actually quite an intriguing design and so very different than anything in DT today. Its the first large scale structurem in LA designed in the new millenium style. Its shape is meant to invoke a sail on a ship. I mean, One World Trade Center looked dull in many of its renderings, but I think it's shaping up to be an extraordinary tower.
As far as its construction, its rare for any tower to go up these days without at least 50 percent leased, so its nothing unusual. Again, as I posted before, I think that if they market it correctly, they could lure firms and business not just from other downtown towers, but even in Century City, Mid-Wilshire, or beyond. It would be the newest tower in DTLA in 18 years.
