My prediction for the HOF class of 2012:

Sakic (duh)
Shanahan (given)
Sundin (probably)
Oates (hopefully)

Burns (finally)

Weren't they planning on building a new arena beside the Baseball and Football Stadiums? would be a great idea, but it is probably 5 years off at the earliest.

Vancouver Canucks' Pavel Bure is in the Hall of Fame! Surprised! Also surprised that Shanahan isnt.

Good for all that made it, they all definitely deserve to be there. Did the Canucks retire Bure's jersey? or honour it the way teams do now?
Kind of surprised Shannahan didn't make it, but there were a lot of talented people in this years class.

The Player I'm most curious about regarding the HHOF is Fleury, he had the numbers and was definitely one of the more telented guys in league history, he just came with a ton of baggage.

HHOF candidates this year. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?id=53192

Any Player that averages a point per game over their career definitely deserves to be in the HHOF IMO.

As a huge Pavel Bure fan, I'm very happy for him. Just a sublime gunner in his time.

Sundin is probably the only player that was never overrated by Leafs fans... he's that good.

Congrats Mats! Absolutely deserved.

The haters should be reminded that this isn't only the NHL Hall of Fame, but the Hockey Hall of Fame, and nobody can deny that Sundin was one of the best IIHF international players of the past 20 years! He's also ppg and the highest scoring swede in history.

Great class this year, glad to see Oates and Bure finally get the nod. Shanaban will get in next year no doubt.

Sundin over Shanahan is crap.

Then again, Shanahan will make it in soon. After all, Glenn Anderson (4th all-time playoff scoring) didn't get inducted until a couple years ago, either.

Flames re-signed Comeau (who I was hoping would be out on his ass) and traded for Denis Wideman today. Hopefully the Wideman deal means Sarich or even better, Bouwmeester are gone.

Comeau was one of the best new guys we had last year. I'm glad he'll be back.

Unless Feaster has a plan to get rid of one of those other expensive guys, that deal is a complete head scratcher.

Hopefully. At least this expensive guy will probably be better all-round than the other expensive guys.

Wideman is an UFA so he might not even be with the Flames next week.
