What the fog is up with San Diego

Last night was fogged up beyond all recognition!

This is what the view looks like from my livingroom during the day

But last night the fog was extremely thick

And here is a daylight shot down Island Ave

Same view last night

and a few others

You call that fog?

LOL... I love fog, but I hate driving in it. Freezing fog is a special treat, though I don't suppose that's much of an issue in San Diego.

Maybe the camera didn't capture the effect becuase it does look a little weak. I've seen much thicker fog in SD.

Yeah, the camera doesn't show the thickness of the fog in San Diego a few days ago. I remember driving to get a late night bite at Roberto's, it was so foggy that I got a little freaked out!

Fog is really cool. There's a provincial park, in the form of a valley, behind my place, and there are some mornings where it fills up with fog but I can see clear overtop to the other side, blue sky overhead. But then sun gets up higher and destroys the effect...

Visibility looks decent but yeah it might just be the camera.

The fog rolls in every summer day in SF (and this is what I see out my window in early evening):

I love fog to. The way it just rolls on in. And just as quickly as it comes, it can disappear...
