Sure, but "twin" denotes "equal" or "on par with." Hence, we say "Minneapolis-St. Paul" or "Dallas-Ft. Worth." "New York-Jersey City" would be a new one to me.

I had to google it. Buckhead is a town with 205 people. The guy is probably making a sarcastic post. Which would be funny with some "twins" I saw on this thread.

Isn't Buckhead a district within the city of Atlanta? It just has its own skyline sort of like the Backbay in Boston.

Winston-Salem is its own city. Unless you can go back in time.

yes there is a district in the city of atlanta with a pretty nice size skyline. There is also a city in Georgia also called buckhead with a population of 205 people.

When I say "twins" inside this thread, it is refering to cities that are obviously suburbs of large cities. Large suburban towns feeding of the principle city is not a twin city. It is more like the parasite city.

Twin cities are two distinct cities next to each other. The thread should really come down to: Which cities are the most "twiny" (if that is a word)

Minneanpolis/St. Paul or Tampa/St. Petersburg?

Most like identical twins: Texarkana AR-TX. Doesn't even have two different post office designations.

Bristol, VA/Bristol, TN is similar but more lopsided.

Tacoma / Seattle, Washington

Eugene / Springfield, Oregon

Central City / Black Hawk, Colorado

People's Republic of Boulder / Colorado Springs, Colorado

Oh, I'm sorry, Boulder and Colorado Springs are polar opposites, not twins.
