There's five 350m residential buildings in the world. Four in Dubai and one in New York.

Toronto isn't going to have the land + unit prices to justify that for awhile.

New York is so rich, an example for us all.

Really love New York, super gold plated.

Toronto is such an outperformer in terms of towers, though. YSL in its original form was nearly comparable to some of the buildings you see going up in Midtown.

The One is 90% of what One57 is. A very near equal. And One57 is a high-end Manhattan tower.

Such a shame how the city stepped in with YSL.

Happens in Manhattan too, remember the fight Jean Nouvel's tower had a few years back. They ended up chopping 200ft off of a spectacular tower.

I do remember that. It was such a shame, again. Tour Verre remains a masterpiece but it's a shadow of its original conception.

Anyone else amazed that all of NYC's tallest are built either in the 21st century or in the 1930s during the depths of the Great Depression.

True but not super-talls (other than the twin towers of course).

True. If Whippersnapper followed my lead and went to Pattaya, he ain't coming back, hell I didn't want to come back either. But, as they say in Thailand, no money, no honey!

Anyways.. even if he is on vacation, he can still post to the internet.

Hope that fool aint in the hospital or worst...dead..
