Much better and TALLER.

I hope this is an actual rendering and not some student-inspired concept.

Just doing a floor count- it appears the updated rendering and original renderings are both 25 floors high.

Its from the architect but it could be an old version of the office tower considering that it looks identical to this image we have seen before.

I think that the more sculptural facade faces 17th to the north and that this is the view from the south.

The writing on that imgur link is incorrect. Its all one building. The dividing line between what looks like two buildings are the balconies shown above with plants/greenery in them. It's hard to tell if the "curvy" parts of the facade are gone or just not showing in the recent drawing. Some of the earlier massing/renderings also appeared to show a flat surface. Could have been VE'd out.

What happened to this project anyway? It seems like it was moving last year and now it's just stalled completely....crickets. It would do a lot for that area.

The building hasn’t changed, you’re looking at the south facing part of the building. They’re still moving through permitting.

Their LD permit has been "ready to issue" for a while now

I think it has to do with finding an anchor for the office space. I doubt they will start construction without one. Jones Day had been linked to this project but it was recently reported that they are now looking at Colony Square. There are reportedly lots of other big fish out there looking for space but there are also a lot of projects chasing them now.

Invesco HQ at Midtown Union tower

This has now been confirmed by the announcement by Gov Kemp.

Well, looks like your theory has been confirmed not even a couple of days later.

Very exciting! Another tower (once it officially breaks ground) getting off the ground. I hope the angled facade on that one side it still part of the plan.

And I PROMISE you I typed out "or it could just be a matter of timing with whatever anchor tenant they have lined up" and then deleted it. It's great to hear that this is moving forward soon.

Midtown just won't stop, can't stop!

I was gonna say, it doesn't seem like they're moving from their current HQ and moreso simply expanding the HQ to the Midtown Union project, but that wouldn't make any sense.
