Thank you for posting these great photos. My wife and I went to Venice during our honeymoon to Italy and it is an absolutely beautiful city.

Yes people live there but not that many (60.000 or so) I don't know what jobs they do, but the city is well connected by train to the rest of the country so it's no different from any other city.

Beautiful pictures! I have heard that winter is the best time to visit Venice, to avoid the large crowds, and be able to see the real Venice.

It used to be a largest and most advanced trade center in Europe.
Now it's a largest and most prosperous tourist hub in the world. Dwellers have been driven away for tourists.
See things like Milan, Turin or Naples to meet actual Italian folks.
