Netherlands' tallest structure, the Gerbrandy Tower

The Gerbrandy Tower is a partially guyed tower: a concrete tower of 100 meters (328 feet) on which a guyed aerial mast is mounted. The original total height when completed in 1961 was 383 meters (1257 feet). Since 2007 the reduced height is 367 meters (1204 feet). The tower was used for radio and TV-broadcasting. Nowadays it is used for radio broadcasting and telecommunications, it also houses a datacenter. The tower is the tallest structure of the Netherlands. Data seems to indicate that the Gerbrandy Tower was Europe's tallest structure from 1961 to 1962. The Gerbrandy Tower stands in the municipality of IJsselstein, near the city of Utrecht. The tower is not publicly accessible. Photos inside the tower were made on an open house day on the 21st floor on 85 meters (279 feet) height. Photos 1 to 3 taken 5 September 2011, all other photos taken 15 June 2014.

Wow, that's tall! A pitty you can't go up to the top.

I used to live near that tower, when I first moved to Nieuwegein I would use it as my northstar to bike back home.

Nice pictures. The first 6 aren't showing up, though.
