Middleburg, PA

Middleburg is a borough in central Pennsylvania, and is the seat of Snyder County. The population is around 1,350. Middleburg was originally called "Swinefordstown" or "Swinefordstettle" ater John Albright Swineford, but was renamed "Middleburg" after Middle Creek, which runs by the town. Today, the stream is also know as Middlecreek Creek. The borough was established in 1855.

I had always assumed Selinsgrove was the seat of Snyder Co... and I'm pretty sure that's the only PA county seat I would've gotten wrong...

Never been to Middleburg... but I have been to Beavertown and McClure!

I think they should've kept the name Swinefordstettle instead of the super-bland Middleburg (there's a number of other communities named "Middle-something" in Central PA which creates confusion)

I guess you could say I am a Pennsylvania coastal elitist, only caring about the major cities on the east & west ends.

Actually I enjoy small towns too as long as there is some amount of interesting things to be found. Just didn't see any in Middleburg. Sorry.
