Pretty anticlimatic event today, even though the weather was perfect for an eclipse. A friend of mine living in Portland got to enjoy a 99% eclipse and said it was great, but the one we had was pretty meh.

The whole media hype around this reminded me of Super Moon.

So!

What are the fall predictions!?

Scorcher of a summer, nice September, good start to October.

Looks like downhill from here.

Are we going to have rain until May?
Snow?

What do yall see for fall/winter 17-18!?

Please be rain. Any more than 1 week with snow on the ground is too much. Snow is meant for the mountains and the rest of Canada. Spare us.

Agreed. I didn't leave Toronto for more snow here.

Though apparently we're in for another unseasonably cold winter.

That corner at Broadway and Cambie always floods during the fall storms. There aren't even that many trees in the area, so I don't know if it's because there aren't any proper storm drains or the ones that are there aren't meant for anything more than average rainfall.

If the forecast holds we should have a string of warm days coming up starting this weekend. The high on Monday might get up to 16 C.

Some pics from today around downtown and the West End of Vancouver.

Today has been extra smokey in Vancouver, but the weather improved a bit towards the evening. Rain still cannot return soon enough and here is hoping for some precipitation over the weekend!

Loving this weather. Sunny, warm, dry. It's looking good for at least another week.

Great pics, sad it is all coming to an end tomorrow. Something like 14% of normal October rainfall so far.

Looks like some fairly significant road flooding in OV last night. The city should have been out clearing catch basins as they knew thunderstorms were possible.
