Compared to 3 Civic Plaza, 12 months behind schedule is pretty much 24 months ahead of schedule

Jajaja, I feel for them but still a year delay is huge, putting your life on hold for that long in some no-name town... I do hope to move-in this September

Central is the road between Wave and Evolve but yeah - will be nice once it connects through. Also surprisingly nice to see red brick going up on the podium.

The building looks quiet nicer than expected and they are moving super fast. Do they have more workers than the other buildings?

They had workers this morning at 6 am installing steel studs for the units in an upper floor. They are moving fast now, and nice weather definitely helps. But they had their delays during excavation which seemed to take almost a year, so it's great they have picked up the pace.

They did take their time with that excavation but things are moving faster thank God. When are they planning to start their next phase (The building with the 13 floors podium)?

I'm gonna guess fall or early next year once Evolve is done. They are using that site as a construction staging area for Evolve (which may no longer be required by fall).

The application is moving along nicely - should be going to Council for 4th reading / Final adoption soon.

At least this one wont have any marketing period needed since it's all rental. Can move straight to construction.

Nice 3-storey height for the amenity / mech penthouse levels.

Tower looks great when coming down westbound on 104th and hitting King George. It pops up behind 3 Civic and looks just as prominent.

Surrey has changed a lot. 5 years ago when I lived in central city it didn't seem like it would get to this point. I wonder what will happen in the next 10 to 15 years. Hopefully it can surpass Brentwood with daring designs...

Surrey will change more in the next 5 years than it has in the past 5. And the past 5 have been quite transformative as is.

In 2019 we are looking at 15 new towers under construction:

Hub 1
Hub 2
Hub Office
Park Boulevard
Avani
West Village 5
GEC
Georgetown 1
Linea
Concord - Quibble Creek 1
Concord - Quibble Creek 2
Veterans Village
Bosa BlueSky 1
Bosa BlueSky 2
Lark City Centre 3

Also add to that the LRT which will transform streetscapes into something much more urban.

All of that in 5 years, surrey will be a real downtown, a rival of Burnaby.
Very exciting to see all that happening

Got a good view of the tower. They are working on interiors installing steel studs up the floors and the electrical and plumbing. No dry wall up in the higher floors and they seem to be working on the Mech penthouse at the moment. Looks like a Spring 2019 completion for sure.
