This thing just went through the design review panel on the 15th and it looks promising. Here's the link http://www.london.ca/business/Planni...-Meetings.aspx

If they have Zelinka Priamo involved in this project, I would think this project is completely legit. This will certainly change the dynamic of the skyline. 108 metres, 2nd tallest in London. It's not the best design, but for London, it is much better than the concrete monstrosities we have seen recently.

Looks like they have real architects too. http://www.eirichmond.com

Thank you very much for the PDF link!

Lots of renders there! I submitted it to the drawing requests section of the site to get it on the London diagrams list!

I hope this goes through. Game changer for dt london, so long as Farhi is not involved.

Good selection of a property. That parking lot is (a) ugly and (b) mostly empty during the day.

This is great, and I think it looks great. Of course it’s not going to win awards, but from the renderings it looks like it will be attractive. And it’s tall!

More importantly, it’s a good mix of uses, and that lot is not being effectively used. It should be a great addition to that area.

Exactly what I was thinking, seems to me this has an extremely good chance of going through.

At this point I really do not see any reason to not build it, there should be very limited stumbling blocks based on the location and who is involved in the project.

Would the law firm on that corner he demolished for the project? I believe I'm thinking of the right lot.

This absolutely looks legit. Detailed elevations, actual architects, etc. it seems way more advanced than many proposals that are nothing more than 5 minute things done in sketchup..

Wow great news, seems like as others have noted this is a serious proposal that should have no problems getting started this year, quite ambitious if they can get it done in 2015. That corner is pretty wide open I wonder if all of the houses on Talbot is going to be part of the plot? EDIT seems like those buildings are staying which is a good thing...though they could use some work which maybe this development will spark.

Also glad to hear the city planning staff essentially telling the complainers to take a hike with the bird flight path and other bogus crap.

"new tallest in London" sounds nice as well, wonder if they are planning a small crown of some kinda as OLP is 113 meters is it not?

Nice bit of good news to rescue us from the gloomy employment scene. Hopefully, Farhi has nothing to do with this project.

Interestingly, the developer avoided purchasing Farhi's lot for sale across the street for this development, despite the fact it has the best view of the forks anywhere. Speaks for itself.

As for the gloomyness - I hear the rumor of 3000 new jobs coming to the city. That plus this new "tallest building in the city" (true or not) development means a very good news day for the city

Another similar article about this development, certainly seems like they are trying to get this fast tracked (which is a good thing). And again the mention of "cities tallest" so they must be planning a little crown or something.

Sounds like they're pretty serious about building this. What a great new building for DT London! I wish my city could get some new residential towers in the downtown, I'm not holding my breath though. Congrats London!

In the tv segment, Allan Patton, the lawyer working with this developer says it might be the tallest or not. They are not concerned with being 1st or 2nd. Then he says that his next client might build taller than this building. Finally some encouraging things happening in London's downtown...taller buildings with pleasing design. Think about his: CityPlace cost $25 million to build 2 -25 storey buildings and this 1 building will cost close to $100 million. We are talking quality here.
