^too bad the maker of that video filled his entire description box with ranting about the olympics, hst, taxes, support of the tea party, etc.

It looks like someone from Belgium had a good time in Vancouver last summer and made a cool film about it:

If I had to 'do over' I'd give that movie a pass mainly due to the bizarre camera work a la Blair Witch.

This is an insanely awesome "LipDub" video filmed at UBC. A must watch! (if LipDubs aren't your thing, at least fastforward to 7:23 for an awesome aerial of the western tip of UBC)

Video Link

Apparently this was aired at Robson Square last night April 8 at 8:00pm. It's now April 9 at 2:40pm and there's just under 45,000 hits on youtube! I've lost count how many times I've watched this.

A very cool video that was brought to my attention through a flickr contact:

Man, Main street sure was a lot less busy back then! And seeing those trolleys on Vancouver streets is pretty cool.

Not sure of this video has been posted anywhere else on here but I thought it was quite fascinating. I know it could have gone in the transit thread but I rarely read that anyway
I love the dated quality of the video and those mustaches would fit right in on Main Street these days...
The north east False Creek area in the early '80s is quite interesting to see on video, as well as Terminal sans Skytrain, plus all the digging that was done downtown for the construction.

That's a great video. The mid-late 80s Vancouver brings back fond memories for me.
