Your 10 year anniversary, along with Rockyi and mine, is quickly approaching. Jeeze, we're getting old!

The best part of entering your 30's is the increased amount of nose and ear hair.

You do have hair on your head. Your ears and nose are on your head.

At least I am assuming...

So on Sunday I head out - by car - to Newfoundland again, driving through the States for the most part. I'm staying with a forumer in Chicago, and will possibly meet up with photolith in Pittsburgh before heading back up to Ottawa. I've been thinking of SSP locales along my route and completely forgot some Midwest guys!

I might spend a night in Minneapolis, then the next in Chicago. It's not that far a drive between them, so perhaps I take a long route and swing past the Quad Cities? It would definitely be a weekday (probably this Tuesday or Wednesday), so it might not work, but Rockyi, if you'd have time for tea/coffee/beer/whatever I might be able to swing through.

My other option there would be to kill some time in Madison, which I think I would really enjoy. Maybe even Milwaukee!

Then there's Ohio. I think I'll take the more direct route to Pittsburgh via Cleveland, which isn't really ColDay territory, so I might miss you this time around.

From there I might head go Erie > Buffalo > Hamilton/Toronto or Rochester/Syracuse > Ottawa.

If anyone else is along that route and would be into a drink/lunch/something let me know. My sched is pretty flexible at this point.

Haha, I know, but it's shorter and I haven't been there yet. I'm sure I'll enjoy an afternoon there.

Besides, I've seen some Cleveland tourism videos so I know what to expect.

Check out the route along the Mississippi River. It's mostly forested bluffs and sharply cut hills, much more scenic than the rolling fields along the interstates inland.

Not sure if I'll go the long route now. I want to get to Chicago with plenty of time to get settled for the night. Travelling with a dog and all, I don't want to just pull up then head out to party for the night.

At any rate, does anyone have any suggestions for things to see in the Twin Cities? Good skyline views, best streetscapes, pubs, restaurants, etc. Not only do I have no clue what I'll find there, I don't know anyone who's been there (outside the forum, I'm guessing).

My mother-in-law and her sister on Facebook this morning: SMH

For everyone wo thinks Obama and his Obama care is a great thing-food for thought, my mother told me today that her cancer doctor told her he could not treat her anymore when Obama care is enforced. This could be your mom, dad, or grandparents.

Just the beginning of a massive landslide - good thing I put my trust in God and not President Obama and his ignorant ideas.

I wish people would open thier eyes. We promote killing of the young (abortion) and the killing of the old (refusal of health care). Isnt that how the Nazis started old people and pregnant women! The German people didnt see it either until it was 2 late!

Yes, I have been saying this for years but it is so unbelievable that people don't see it. I watched a DVD called "180". It was an eye opener. They interviewed people in a college area on the street and asked who Hitler was. You wouldn't believe the answers - there were so many people who didn't even know who he was!!! These were young adults!!!

Stalin did it too! He starved his old people to death! The end is coming I can feel it!

I love my parents but I need to disable the Fox News channel on their TV. It's making them paranoid.
