It's really shot up in the last couple of weeks. it won't be long before it's the tallest building around.

Nice angle.
Shows how small the clock tower building is.

Amazing how much it already stands out at 12 floors completed. The views from those apartments are going to be amazing for those lucky residents

The first 2 floors have very tall ceiling heights and the rest of the podium also has office ceiling heights too.

I was at this corner yesterday, and 1477 is really starting to transform the overall vibe there. It's going to make the Broadway/Granville intersection feel like an extension of downtown.

I snapped a couple of pictures of the cladding set up.

As Rodney Dangerfield once said, "Whoa! Put [it] back in! [It's] not done yet"!

Put that baby back in the oven and glaze more orange before it goes back in the kilm.

Giving me Edmonton PTSD:

The sample does look weird - here's Zepf's gif for better idea of the final result:

I take it that one is just a test and will be removed?

The vertical mullion continuing down doesn't match the design.

Very exciting! I forgot how unique the cladding is going to be.

Did anyone ever think the appearance of this rental tower would beat the Oakridge "ultralux" condos?

Sets a high bar for what a Broadway Plan tower can be. Looks more permanent and elegant than what we have seen from Oakridge, for sure.

What is happening with the lot to the East of 1477? It looks like construction staging now but is there a proposal for it?

There's no publicly available project yet. I'm not sure whether TransLink or The City bought the site. If it's TransLink, they're already partnering with PCI to develop at Arbutus.

Not too long ago many who see this will get a heart attack just by its massive girth alone. Maybe there are still many NIMBYs dropping like flies seeing this who knows.

Well, for the rest of us, looking forward to the development of new "Bloor" in this neighbourhood. Hoping to see some 50-70 stories here in the future.
