Around The World In 30 Days Pt. 5: Boston

In case you missed the other parts:

Pt. 1: Seattle

Pt. 2: Chicagoland

Pt. 3: New Orleans

Pt. 4: Atlanta

Despite not having been in Boston for over a week now, I've been unable to do this update due to crappy hotel internet. Thankfully, the internet gods decided to make the latest stop an exception. Unfortunately, my computer's suddenly decided to show its age... it crashes every hour and a half or so. Figures.

Anyway, I enjoyed my stay in Boston. Not much more to it than that.

Day 1

Bay Village

Day 2

North End

Beacon Hill

Downtown

North End (Continued)

Downtown (Continued)

Bay Village (Continued)

South End

Some of these next shots are softer as I was taking them in the late evening.

And a final night in Bay Village:

Holy Cow! I am so excited you made it to Boston on your world tour! You have some great shots in here.
(I was probably in St. Louis while you were in Boston)

Wow! Great stuff all around.

I was struck most by those shots of people simply hanging out on the waterfront. The scenario is near incomprehensible for me, having grown up with the Central Artery and Big Dig effectively cutting off the harbor from the rest of the city and out of the collective psyche. I went off to school a few years before the Greenway opened, and since then I keep reading all this talk of Boston "reclaiming" its waterfront. It's fascinating to see some actual evidence.

I had no idea about the waterfront activity being recent @ blade bltz. It certainly added a lot to the atmosphere...

@ Expat: Yup. Your hiatus from SSP coincided with my stay... interesting timing lol.

This is a great set! You've captured a lot of interesting angles, for a bit of a different perspective on the city. The photos of people on the waterfront kind of make me want to go sit on the waterfront right now.

2 absolutely epic shots among your incredible Boston pictures. My favorite Boston buildings International Place with the Custom house is fabulous and that side angle of the gorgeous Hancock Building is awesome
