I'd really like to know how far they had to dig for bedrock. Maybe that foundation is compensating for something...

I mean seriously, that's a FOOTBALL stadium foundation.

^Shanghai Tower and PingAn are being built in existing urban areas, so they

a)Don't have as much room to build in and

b)Don't have to build all the infrastructure to support the project from scratch.

Plus, this is a whole bunch of buildings, not just one.

Between this and Ping Ann it'll take till 2020 to strip the title of China's tallest fro the Shanghai Tower.. Inparticular ST is my favorite of 3 and think Ping An is trying to outgun them with the Spire, kind of like Trup Hotel,, uses to make it the 2nd tallest in the U.S.
