Exciting progress. This tower is going to rise above the rest in that area...until Highpoint rises that is....

No offense to the forumer, GilmoreStation, who is invested in Gilmore Place - where the developer hasn't got one shovel in the ground yet...

where the KFC is, if it goes ahead, has been approved to be a 60 storey tower but there is no proposal yet that I have heard of.

I have yet to see a definitive listing of the height of 567 Clarke (49 storeys). One poster states 162m (about 531 feet).

The (apparently approved) Highpoint building bills as "a 406-ft-tall, 50-storey tower that sits on top of a 10-storey podium."

It's one storey higher but 125 feet shorter? Presume Highpoint building height listed above excludes podium?

Source for "KFC site" (NE) of 567 Clarke being approved for 60 storeys?

Land to North and West of 567 Clarke is a sea of SFR on sloping ground - thoughts on that being rezoned for High Rise?

I have personal interest as I bought one of the Skyhome (penthouse) units at 567 Clarke.

KFC has been a proposal for 4 towers now, 20 - 40 storeys I believe, the two tallest will be built in phase one. Info and renders are on the suburban updates page. or you can read it all here

The sales page for highpoint says this

Quote:
When you are ready for R&R you only have to decide between the swanky fireside Sky Lounge on the 52nd floor, the games room, fitness facilities or formal dining lounge and kitchen on the 11th floor.

The sales page for highpoint says this
The 567 Clarke (Como and Clarke) Sales Center morphed into the Highpoint sales center.

Seems this will be a short-lived tenancy as the Highpoint project is now on indefinite hold per article in today's paper:

"Vancouver developer Ledingham McAllister is putting on hold the launch of pre-sales for three high-rise, transit-hub condo towers in Burnaby and Coquitlam, and is considering a pause on a fourth. The total value of the projects — Sydney, Highpoint, Azure and possibly another — is around $1.2 billion..."

Construction progress on 567 Clark is proceeding but seems slow. At time of pre-sale, completion was estimated as "between November 1, 2020 and January 31, 2021".

Contractually, the last date for completion of 567 Clarke is September 30, 2021, with an option to extend that to Dec. 31, 2021.
