City of Noo Yawk: A lot of Bits and Pieces

It's been a while since I created a thread here, I've been lazy also. So I was thinking to myself.... why not give SSP a little something (you lazy bastiD).. So here we are.. NYC Bits and Pieces, photos I've taken in the last few months in various neighborhoods.

Here we have segments of Lower East Side, Clinton Hill, Noho, Bed Stuy, Bushwick, Willliamsburg, East Williamsburg, Ozone Park, South Ozone Park, Richmond Hill, Crown Heights, Woodhaven, Cypress Hills, Long Island City and Flushing... Images taken with various photographic equipment.

enjoy...

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW. I think I just came from this thread.

What kind of demographic generally lives in this sort of housing stock? I always imagine loud Italians, Robert de Niro and Danny DeVito types.

That's South Ozone Park around 109 Ave. It use to be heavily populated by Italian-Americans, now it's a mix of South Asians/Indo-Caribbeans being the most notable, then in the mix Latinos, Afro-Caribbeans, Whites (Probably Italian, Irish, Greek segments).

Thank you..thank you!

BTW This structure http://www.flickr.com/photos/j_saf/7...57627234527279 has an interesting history and was even more artsy at one point it and even much larger until it burned down. Dave Chappelle filmed one of his shows there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broken_Angel_House

Thanks guys. I believe Broken Crow has a few murals around this city.

Marcy is subtle in comparison to what you may find in ENY or Brownsville LOL
