I'm amused by how it looks like the two cranes on the left always look like they're dancing. They change direction every time Carlos posts a new picture, but they're almost always facing the same direction. Makes me smile every time.

It's not Subway. That is no longer in the building, as the top is too narrow now for it. It was decommissioned some weeks ago.

1,189' to the 92nd floor splices. I would think the cocoon would be jumped up next so they can put the next row of beams up.

No beams for the 92nd yet (outer beams maybe). New core columns first since they only go up to the 91st floor.

I just woke up and I had a dream last night that I was standing right next to the One World Trade Center and it looked so tall that it looked like it was in space?

And I remember telling my mother that it will even be "taller than that because it has more construction to go..."

Haha!

^^Why is there a double level floor so low?

Or is that the skylobby, it looks to be at about that height...

That is sort of what I was sitting here thinking..

Wouldn't that big bar of concrete/steel be in the direct way of ones sight when looking out?

Yep - just need to look again, as pnapp did mention that it is a sky lobby floor.

Looking at these pictures - I was thinking to myself, "Oh wow. It is such a honor to be able to help build a new WTC complex." They're the ones who get to work in it before it even opens to the general public.

It will be so cool to have a 360 degree view like that.

Aren't the standard office floors 13'4"? Thus making each pane of glass around the same height? So unless you are 15 feet tall I am pretty sure you would be able to see out the window just fine.

Funny, I thought the same thing, until I realized just how high that ceiling really is.

Without a person in that picture, it's hard to realize just how large that space really us! It almost looks like a "regular" sized floor of any standard skyscraper, in which case, yes, it gives the illusion that the big bar would be in the way.

But, as someone mentioned, each glass pane is quite tall. So, just imagine that a 6ft person would barely reach half the height of the lower window pane. (And, then you'll realize how LARGE that space really is!)

I think it's the wide angle lens. It can have vertically compressing effect. The reality is this will be a beautiful double height lobby. Just imagine if you could construct office floors like this. That would be a incredible space to work in.
