It did bring tears to my eyes, because I've been living in South Carolina (Columbia, cute small city sort of reminds me of a smaller less hip version of Austin from 30 years ago, but less diverse and more racially regressive) and am coming home for Halloween and election day.
The Rise of the Drones is pushing cityscape photography to a whole new level. Of course we still need those boots on the ground for the great streetscapes.
Here's an extended version of that Jared photog video. Music not as perfect a fit, but a few more scenes to see. There's a really nice boat in there, hard to ignore how shiny the chrome on it is.
A couple pics I just took from the 3rd floor balcony of Entercom in Westlake. Cell phone + zoomed in + a little shaky. More of just to show the vantage point.
I remember when I dabbled in photography and finally got a color darkroom. That pic is exactly the reason that I went back to my black and white prints, almost exclusively. The detail is amazing!
I'm guessing ivanwolf's were taken from the parking garage along Mopac. Right now is a great time for those kind of photos that show the treetops now with the fall colors starting to show up.
Judging from ivanwolf's photos, I think GreenWater Block 1 is past 100 feet tall now.

It's definitely taller than the Silabs building next door now.
