That is such a nice picture Tie Guy. The Colorado Tower has such quality glass and love how Frost reflects off it, but one thing I gotta ask does anyone know when they will be lighting the top of Colorado?

Thanks, guys! I think this building looks its best at sunset because it's so reflective!

I, too, wonder how this will be lit up. I'm guessing maybe south part that "sticks out" will have lights on the sides but y'all's guesses are as good as mine.

Does anyone have an estimate for when they are going to light the top of this? It looks like they are finishing out offices, and the Bowie was lit pretty quickly after top out.

I gotta say, the contrast on this one is pretty striking and looks good.

What are we seeing in those last 2 pics? I'm discombobulated by the effect where it looks like one building is transecting another. Did someone spike my yogurt with LSD? AGAIN?!?

It does have that effect. Hopefully the lighting will be acid yogurt worthy.

Never noticed that effect on the renderings. Seeing Colorado Tower from town lake or beyond is awesome.

Those vertical metal bars are raised from the glass and pick up the light when viewed from an angle. It is a great subtle effect that really makes the building pop.

Colorado Tower is really beautiful! If it where 2x the height it would be even better.

So this building has a water fall too? Noooise (nice). From the looks of it, there's another "slots" next to where the one waterfall is at, so we'd have two on the Colorado tower. Another nice organic feature to our skyline.

That is, if they're going with the waterfall, and it's not just there for construction reasons.

I'm not sure it's anything more than a drainage outlet for the roof. I'd be suprised if it was a waterfall incorporated into the building design. The waterfall feature at city hall only runs during wet periods and I haven't seen it on at all lately. A waterfall dropping from that height would lose quite a bit of liquid due to evaporation, given the low levels of the lakes, it's not practical to have such a feature on a building like that.

Speaking of lighting, the base/lobby of this baby looks all done and was all lit up this evening. I took some crappy pictures. You can't really tell looking at them how pale green it is. I don't know if it's always going to look like this at night but it was a really stunning bright green wall that's all lit up inside the lobby.

The southern side:

The western side:

This last one's really blurry but shows the entrance to the parking garage which looked fully-operational. To me, this building looks practically finished.

It supposedly opened the week of 12/14.

I took a few pics of the lobby last week also. A little bit easier to see in the day.
