Great pics Solarwind! You always take great pics ... saw your name in the latest post on this thread and came over hoping you had some more.

I guess my brain is addled ... a lot of people have commented on how they dislike the 'sea foam' color of the parking ramp and I never noticed before that it is very similar in color to the Chicago river. The color on my monitor is not great (using a cheap KVM switch) and I haven't seen that in person. Are they similar? If so, you think intentional given how everything else about this tower seems to fit in?

Though this tower isn't architecturally groundbreaking it looks sooo much better at that site than the old sun times building.

It is only a 40 story residential building at this point. How many 40 story residentials have you seen that make you say ... wow, that's tall.

^ I'm trying to muster a defense of the old Sun-Times building, just to be a contrarian, but I can't think of anything.

Less of a danger to low-flying birds?

Nice walkway along the river. Actually saved time if you were heading from state&lake to anywhere on N Michigan or NorhtWestern.

Well Sun Times was the last industrial building along the river that was built to use the river for industrial purposes (such as receiving the paper), which used to be the majority of buildings. We could have saved it for just that reason alone but I agree, TTC is a drastic improvement. So far, I love everything about it.

probably has something to do with it only being around the 70th tallest building in chicago right now?

SOLARWIND! I know everyone likes to heap praise on you, but its hard not to. No offense to the trump, but you have a knack for making any building seem stunning. If the suntimes building was still around, you could probably change the minds of a lot of people in this forum after a few shots on a nice day

Is it just me or does the garage ramp look like only one car will fit at a time?

^^^ That seems like it is the best rendition since this type of overlay was started. I like the effect without the cranes....Great work.

Thank you....

Yes, here's the schedule.

It's off by a couple of days because they just poured 40 on Monday and Tuesday.

LOL, yeah the cranes are a monster-hassle, particularly if you want get rid of the sky within the triangle created by the boom/cable. I still don't know how Ghost managed to photoshop it the reverse way.

good question. Somebody knows the answer, but it can either fit two cars at the same time, or it is two stacked helical ramps around one core like the JHC parking ramp

Thanks, looks like they are about a floor behind, well actually they should be pouring 41 around Monday right? That would be the 13th of August.
