Doesn't it look like the parking helix lights are on during the day here?

Kinda a waste of money.

This was shot a couple of hours ago... It's amazing how tall this building already looks from the ground, but from this level - and knowing how Trump will be taller than the Hancock Tower seen in the background - it still has quite a distance to climb!

Nice shot. Good select focus. (Or use of smog.)

It's more humidity and fog than anything... on a clear day you'd get a nice view of the lake from here...

They are on all the time, except for one set on the 2nd level facing W, those have been out for a week or more.

Makes an interesting effect, which I have not been able to capture on CCD, in the morning looking E on Kinzie from Clark or Dearborn. The Wrigley building is white, parking spiral is in shadow ( w lit higlights), and the IBM bldg is black.

I just wanted a high resolution picture of JHC and others near with 'smog' effect from that angle, just like yours.

Great shot! I'd buy a unit in Trump just so that I could have that view of the Hancock.

hancock looks so stately. amazing to see the quality of design measure up against the passage of years. think trump will follow in suit, or is the golden age of high-rise modernism behind us?

With the building already this high, I wonder how much work they have done on the interior so far. Hard to tell, but on cbotnyse's pictures there are windows open even on the highest glassed floor. I wouldn't think they could be that high already, but would it be reasonable to assume they're half done with the bottom segment, considering the pace of the concrete formwork construction?

Me too ! The view of Hancock is just awesome, can't believe it will be #5 (after CS, sears, trump tower and aon) in coming years.

It might end up #5 in height, but I expect it will remain #1 in a lot of peoples' hearts.

This project is one to pay attention to, but JH is just amazing back there, I am not sure how Trump will compete. JH almost makes Trump look toyish, it is sooo strong looking.

The Golden age of modernism has ended. I expect we'll see it again someday. There will be a neo-modernist movement.

The Spire will give it a run for its money. However, JHC can rest assured that it has immortality.

I feel we should write that on a little plaque in front of the building. (and hopefully have to keep scratching out the number for a larger one.
