Rory Kohlert (or Coalhurt, as Rod Black says) is off to Calgary. So who is the Bombers' starting Canadian receiver then? Just Julian FG?

That one definitely deserves a space on the Rod Black bingo card... right next to "CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!"

In other news, the Bombers got their backup... Dan LeFevour signed today. This is probably the most depth the Bombers have had at QB since the Kevin Glenn era (er, the first one).

I'm sure you guys will draft a few Canuck receivers in the draft in May to replace a guy like Kohlert...or you'll sign someone like Chris Getzlaf to be that experienced Canadian receiver you need and want.

I'm very cautiously optimistic for the upcoming season.
We did get a little better, but we also started running the ball a little more by the end of the year. I'm still not sold on our defense. It's easy to look better when the offence rushes 20 times for 100 years instead of 8 for 40. It's why I like the O-line pickups so much. That's the easiest win to make the team better right now.

Wow Drew Tate to Ottawa for a 5th rounder.....guess Huf did not want to pay the $40K bonus Tate was due on March 1

Wonder who the back up in Calgary will be now, Buckley or do they have someone else in the pipe or go after Rakeem Cato or someone else like that

Redblacks just acquired Drew Tate for a 5th rounder in next year's draft. I know its a salary dump for Calgary but it's hard to believe that's all he went for. Does anybody know what Drew's salary is?

It's difficult to believe that Saskatchewan didn't offer more.

Maybe Huf didn't want to trade him to a division rival. I think it was more about not paying the roster bonus than the return

The Stamps signed a QB last week (can't think of the name - Gayle ?). He was the starter in the Riders first win last season.

It will be interesting to watch the QB situation in Calgary this year. Dickinson was quoted last year as saying he thought Buckley would be starter someday, and they've gone much younger in dealing Tate and signing Gale. Plus IDK who they'll be carrying on the PR as their fourth QB, but probably a younger Import. I imagine that Buckley is now second on the depth chart and hopefully he will get a chance to show his talents at some time this year.

To quote someone from the Argosfans site, the Argos pulled a "Homer" with getting Popp and Trestman.

I'm glad this worked out, not only for Argos fans, but for the league as a whole, who could not afford the Argos to go down the tubes anymore than they already were.

I think this will definitely change the perception of the Argos with players, could lead to signings because of Trestman's NFL contacts

^ Is it (semi) official? When's the announcement scheduled?

The funny thing is that you'd think Barker and Milanovich had a reasonable amount of credibility coming off the 2012 Grey Cup win, yet it seemed as though things were falling apart completely on the player personnel front there in the last couple of seasons. Too bad the Toronto media gives such minimal levels of coverage to the Argos... it would be interesting to know the scoop on what was going on behind the scenes there.

It is supposed to be tomorrow according to Gary Lawless (if you can trust Winnipeg guys
I hope the Leafs do not make a trade and upstage this, but this is Toronto, so Auston Matthews may get a haircut and it would be a bigger story

Trestman coming back to the CFL is amazing. I love this move for Toronto.

Hopefully this turns things around for that franchise.

I hope the Argos do well but their cupboard is really bare right now talent wise on their roster.
