since commenting on this thread years ago I visited Milan

the Duomo was fantastic (favorite cathedral I've visited in Europe, since it felt like an actual working cathedral attended by people and populated by incense-swinging priests; also severe, massive double column nave or whatever it is

the train station, what a hulk...not so pretty

sforza castle, wow that's huge...

north of the city, like something from a milo manara adventure, the lakes...amazing place.
