Breaking the Skyline in the Civic Center 12/11/2017

For the first time this afternoon I see the rusty steel beams breaking the skyline from my apartment. (image is with a telephoto lens). I think the white crane is at 500 Folsom.

I can also glimpse the cores of both 400 Folsom and Park Tower now on my walk to Caltrain in the morning (they are much more obvious in person)

12/23/2017 400 Folsom St. and ?

Today I saw what I thought was more of 400 Folsom St. rising in my view, but then I realized it might be 500 Folsom St. It might be time to post in 500 Folsom's forum! It may be that there are 2 high rise buildings breaking the skyline from the Civic Center!

Out of all the buildings under construction, I have the least sense of how this one will look when complete. I was hoping the continuously increasing jagged setbacks on the north(west) side would look fantastic, but right now they leave me feeling a little dizzy (similar to how I feel regarding this effect on 101 California).

The vents facing First Street at the 6th(?) floor are sticking out horridly. Why are they white?! Surprised no one else has mentioned them.

Going, Going, Almost Gone!

My view of the Infinity tower is almost gone now. Looks like it will be gone in a few weeks, obscured by 400 Folsom.

Thanks for the pics timbad, I like that Solaire in your first pic, one of my favorites of the new buildings. Nice montage of the "Transformation of Transbay". Plenty more photo ops to come in this neighborhood over the next few years, one of downtown SF's great boom eras.
