Yes, the Vehicle Security Center is moving quite slow, but the main focus is on the main WTC complex itself.

No, it's not. More than half of the structural steel for phase two has been completed this month, and is moving along very nicely, in my opinion.

No, that is just a temporary thing. When the memorial fully opens the park will be open to visitors and the general public for free. Not so sure about the museum.

They should put a large strip of potted trees in the middle to add some greenery to the area, and some benches. But it is still amazing!

The loss of the marble floor is still killing me. These are like airport tiles, mall tiles. Ewww...

And white tile floors and potted plants? What is this the 80s?

Buddy you have to move on, personally I think the new flooring looks nice. But whether you like it or not you still have to move on, I just want this thing built.

According to those renderings, this place is going to be full of women.

No, obviously you still want what was. If you value engineer something expect critism about it. That's not the architect's real vision.

I'm reasonably certain the floors will be terrazzo, even if they have metal strips in a grid pattern.

@ Otie - You're link to the article did not seem to work. Does it mention where they are doing the wind tunnel testing?

Hole in the deck of the utility vault at east end of the hub.

This morning, I noticed there is a long, irregular hole in the deck of the utility vault at the east end of the Hub. To me, it looks like the weight of the rebar that was stored on that temporary platform they just dismantled was too much for the deck to support and the deck cracked.

A failure such as that would explain the frantic redistribution of the rebar recently, and the construction of the security barrier around the site of the storage platform.

Does anybody have any information on what is happening in this area?

This is the first step in the demolition for the A-train build out connector. No need to be frantic.
