Minneapolis: Peavey Plaza & Orchestra Hall

The new design for Peavey Plaza in downtown Minneapolis (and the renovation of Orchestra Hall's lobby) was unveiled today. The existing plaza was designed by M. Paul Friedberg in 1974.

Highlights include an amphitheater, new pergola for vendors, new fountains to replace the existing fountains and pool, and a winter skating rink. Groundbreaking is scheduled for next spring.
