On Saturday, September 18th they started putting up the tower crane. They didn't finish yet, but it should be fully up soon.

My understanding of the built is that it will have 1st floor parking and loading area, with the 2nd floor being the store itself.

Cheers,
Josh

It's supposed to be the biggest Ikea in Canada.

Ikea in Burlington is pretty big. It has a two-floor show room. You enter and go to the 2nd floor first, then you make your way down to the first floor and then the warehouse.

If it's going to be bigger than that, I wonder how they're going to lay it out...

Biggest Ikea I've ever been to is the one at Potomac Mills near Arlington Virginia and D.C...it was 3 levels I think, with one of them being a parkade serviced with elevators, a full blown daycare for kids, and other stuff...

The IKEA in Perth, Australia is three floors in total. Parkade at ground level with the next to levels similar to the set up in Burlington. The large show room displays and furniture are on the top level along with the restaurant. The lower floor has the childcare facility, smaller items as well as the warehouse. It's huge!
