Who takin' trade? I'm talkin' donate. Bloor Street Neighbourhood, University Plaza, Battery Park, etc., etc. are shit no matter what the era. Toronto will quickly recoup from losing a couple residential towers as well. (Heck, there's two being demolished on St Clair as I type)

P.S. Mississauga City Hall is a decorate facility with (bygone) international fame. It was the winning design of the biggest international design competiiton in the GTA of its generation. It is probably the best highrise example of Post Modernism in the country

alright goodlookin, there are a couple of buildings we could do without. No doubt. Yes if Absolute was built downtown, I wouldnt be crying. And yes there are so nice developments in Mississauga that I wouldnt mind seeing in Toronto.

Steveve those are some nice shots... Casa looks really good in those shots. And Bloor Yorkville, looks like its getting ready to play midtown manhatten in the movies.. oops, it already plays midtown manhatten in the movies.

I agree... the most reminiscent or closely related area of downtown that looks most like old manhattan skyscrapers is the bloor/yorkville cluster!

Especially manulife.. it looks like a building right from ny itself! But Yorkville is getting modernized with glass towers like Crystal, Casa, and four seasons... but some towers still are reminiscent of classical architecture like BSN and Uptown...

^I'm not really a fan of the tower but that glass is really sharp. I hope the fins add to it instead of distract from it.

Yes, that is some of the most amazing curtainwall glass I've ever seen. At least as good as whats going up on on the FST. Better would be a matter of opinion.

18 York and others from the Ritz by the folks running UT:

True... true... If 45 Bay is built, that would add some serious height to the waterfront area!... pure epic if you ask me... the design isn't too appealing to me though

And in that shot Success II should go really nicely in filling in gaps !

I'm not fond of 45 Bay either, but some people like it simply because it's something a little different.
