Laissez les bon temps roullet - Part 3

....................

This was our first trip to New Orleans and we were blown away. The DT, French Quarter, Garden District, St. Charles St. and Esplanade to the Museums in the north were clean and beautiful. Also, I took a tour of part of the flooded areas and areas damaged by the tornado. Very sad. But the people of NO are working hard to clean it up and you can see that they are proud of their city.

Everywhere we went they said that tourism is comming back, but it still has a ways to go. Anyone thinking of going on a vacation soon, please think of NO. They really need everything they can get right now. This was one beautiful and unique American/World city. And like the locals say "Laissez les bon temps roullet!!!!!!!!!!!!"

................

My wife and I did not want to leave this very unique city. We're definately comming back. We got a glimps of the garden district and St. Charles street east of DT. St. Charles was packed with beautiful southern mansions, churches and the lovely campuses of Loyola and Tulane. I could have taken another 400 pictures just in that area. Until then, Adios.
