I love how it's become a place for wildlife to flourish and to repopulate. It's a peaceful area with a lot of nodes to the past.....with the building materials all around the coast in some parts of the spit.

So far so good. I don't think the residential tower will be curtain wall which may look a little off however, I only see two square columns abutting the edge of the floor slab. Spandrel should be a minimum.

I'd say 12 and 13 were cobbled from the left over space from designing the other units. Too big to be one unit so it become two awkwardly small units. The biggest, 9, is really, really awful too.

Being from Winnipeg I have to admit I am jealous of the Stantec and JW Mariott in Edmonton. My only criticism of the project is that the two towers are using the same colour glass. They seem to blend together. I would have liked to see some more individuality between the two towers but it is really kind of a minor beef. I will have to reserve final judgement until they are complete.
...again I am jealous though.

Agreed. A contrast would be better IMO. I hope "Tower B" will offer this, along with curves, or some unique shape.
