I get to see that building everyday. And yes it is looking good!! It's good you put a picture on here though because there has not been one for a while. Are there any pictures of Vue Harbor East that you could post up here?

Any new news on 300 East Pratt?

Nope. Everything is quiet now. I would expect that to change when the new year is here. I expect to hear big news in the next month or two.
News on 10 IH, 300 East Pratt, One Light Street and others.

Updates:

The Cordish Tower has changed it's design.

From this:

to this:

I must say, I like it a lot better.
It's a $60 Million project of over 400,000 gross sq. ft.

The new design for Cordish's Market Place Metro Station tower is certainly an improvement over the original. Although I have to admit that Im not too thrilled with those support beams/posts for that balcony or whatever that is on the south side of that building.

And is it me or does the Icon not look that different?

First Post

I just bought my first house (in Federal Hill) and love to watch the progress all around the city, so finding this site was great for me. The city truly seems to get better each day.

Has anyone heard or seen plans for the five story condo building going up at West and Charles streets near Cross Street Market?

Some pictures from Federal Hill a few days ago.

Welcome to the Forum, pfd103.
Love the pictures.
Thanks.
Not sure about the condo you're refering to.
btw, skyscrapercity.com is a cool site too. It's also got a Baltimore development section, too. Bigger and many more people.
I still love this site though.

waj, yeah, the tower hasn't really changed "a lot". I think it may be a little bit bigger though. We'll see.

pfd103, I take it you like high-rise development and all?
There will be a lot of it in the coming years.
The skyline will be changing dramatically.
Very exciting times for Baltimore. Unlike any other time in it's history.

Clear Things Up

Hey, im new here as well and i was wondering if someone could give me some information to clear some things up for me. 10 IH is approved as far as I know, so when is it going to begin to be built? Also does anyone have any info on the Naing twin towers that was proposed? Im not sure what happened with those. Finally are there any other buildings approved that will be at the same height or taller than 10 IH? Thanks

Welcome, jason111. Glad to have you here.
also check out www.skyscrapercity.com to help clear some of those question for you.
10 IH won't break ground until, probably late 2007 or early 2008. A lot of behind-the-scenes work is being done now.
Naing's towers are slowly but surely coming to fruition.
They are buying all the properties needed for this massive project. It probably won't start rising until, at least 2008.
300 East Pratt Street and the Westport office tower should/could rival or exceed 10 IH in height. There's hope for One Light street as well.

Thanks for all the info thats good news. Hopefully when I get back to Maryland in a few years they will have begun to build these buildings. I've been dying to be in a big city with high-rise buildings again since im in Germany rite now...no high-rise buildings here

Fed Hill Condo

I've been looking over SSC a bit...looks interesting.

I read about the condo going up next to Ropewalk tavern (taking up the three properties next to it), and that it would be five stories tall. Needless to say, it would dwarf the 3 story neighborhood, so I was wondering if the community squashed it. Googled for a while, but couldn't find anything...perhaps it's dead.

One of the only things I don't like about the new Hilton, is the view of the B.S. tower from the stadium. It's really great to see from Eutaw street at night...or at least was. Perhaps the view won't be too limited.

Here are some more shots I got around the city lately.
