Ive done a lot of work in that area and very familiar with it. The area around the National Golf Club is beautiful. Woodbridge is generally pretty nice but the area of Vaughan straddling the 400 between Weston Road and Jane is pretty architecturally lacklustre.

Even as far as subdivisions go, the new homes north of Major Mack and west of Weston Road are much nicer than the homes built east of Weston Road in the early 2000s. The difference is night and day.

D&B is positively soul-sucking. Big winner bucket full of wasted time and money. Overpriced games and lousy overcooked greasebucket food.

Agreed! I went to D&B once just to see what all the hype was and came out hating the food and wanting my money back . But the most soulsucking chain of all IMO is Applebees! I remember going to the one in Barrie enjoying the cob-webs on the lights and suffering through a lousy microwaved burger. Never again.

TGIF is a close second and Montana's is a third.

all the evil troika of overpriced bad food. Add the Keg, Milestones, State and Main, Moxie's, Boston Pizza, Kelsey's, etc.

And of course Otacular's old favorite, Scores.

Restaurants that would collapse without a microwave.

Milestones and Moxie's are virtually indistinguishable for me and both tend to hire a certain type of hostess.

I recently had the legendary hot chicken sandwich at Scores . It was a bad sign when I asked the waitress what she would get at Scores and she said "I don't know, I don't eat here". It was shit btw!

The Keg is the most overrated place on Earth! Same goes for Milestones.

Is it just me or is the Kelsey's rebrand to appeal to younger generations really cringeworthy? They still sell the same old cheap SYSCO dreck! They are all being replaced with Shit And Pain (State And Main which is lousy).

These places are soul sucking for their banality. Yeah and the bag-of-hammers hostesses with large tits.

Nothing screams soulsucking more than endless warehouses, is there anyone who likes these places?

I had an irony meal at moxies a while back because we were shopping at Yorkdale mall anyways, and was actually shocked it wasn’t as horrible as I was expecting. The big thing for me is I can get much better food and drinks for the same price at an independent place in Toronto.

Beyond soul sucking. When you approach Pearson by air, you fly over billions of square kilometres of soul-sucking distribution district and logistics land.

From 1964 to 1985 and running from Saint-Laurent Boulevard in the east to Meilleur Avenue in the west, eight large multi-storey buildings were built along Chabanel. The first address is 99 Chabanel (500,000 sq. ft.), followed by 111, 125, 225, 333, 433 and 555 Chabanel followed. The largest of the buildings is 333 Chabanel (approximately one million square feet) which boasts the second largest floorplate on the island of Montreal (110,000 sq. ft.) after Place Bonaventure. The total square footage of the buildings along Chabanel is estimated at five million. The street is still considered the centre of the fashion industry in Canada, with several hundred companies and thousands of employees operating from Chabanel addresses. However, in recent years with manufacturing moving offshore due to the G-8 policy of "trade-not-aid" for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) Market Access Initiative,[2] contraction in the industry and vacancy rates increasing, there has been a move to promote the area to other industries, and one of the buildings (125 Chabanel) has been slated to be redeveloped as a residential condominium project

Since I have heard Molson's quips about Miltonization and since I haven't been to Milton in a couple years, I decided to check it out for myself, last time I went to Milton it wasn't so bad, perhaps he's over reacting I thought....oh my god.
