36 Hours in Berlin - Just Enough Time to Feel Like I Missed Everything

Had a quick layover in Berlin, Germany on my way to points east. Didn't get to make it too far and the weather was crummy, but the following is what I managed to capture.

My god, Berlin is absolutely booming!

I find that in gloomy weather the great architecture of a city like Berlin still shines through and makes the place look even more impressive, plus I love rainy days, great photos!

We just need the Euro to grow much stronger. We need that federal government in Brussels to have it as the standard global currency for good.
Then it'll be a whole different story.
I can't wait! Lol

I'm far from a photographer but the difference between partly cloudy (leaving some blue skies here and there and some contextual cloud coverage) and straight "grey" makes for quite a challenge. Everything looks like a blank white background. Agreed with rain, however.

But to your first point? Yeah it's pretty staggering the amount of work going on in the city right now. Much moreso than any euro-legacy city I've visited. Not sure if that is a case of delayed momentum, or the incredibly obvious obstacles that the city itself faced at the dawn of the century.
