...

I guess it isn't a rumour but they are taking down the medical building at james and charlton right now. I am glad to see that someone grabbed the hannah st sign.

as for rumours... anyone know what they plan on doing with this lot? I would hate to see it go to parking.

Nobody with even a modicum of business sense would.

As for Trump, he is not really the developer behind the building in Toronto. He has probably not lent much more than his name to the project.

and a photo op. He was kind enough to spare a couple of seconds of his time to Toronto. Let's make him the honorary governor general of Canada.

But the prices are rediculous... it seems like something that Dundas could support, but mostly b/c of the Ancasterians coming down the hill.

That LCBO store is absolutely awesome... big and fun. Have you checked out the display cases with the multi-thousand dollar bottles of booze?

Oh ya!! That room is pretty kewl. But I was pretty upset to learn they only carry like two BC wines despite the size/selection. I LOVE Cedar Creek, but they only carry like Mission Hill

But ya, that LCBO is amazing. They did an awesome job on the inside AND out. They have a great water feature infront of the Station as well.

I made many trips there with friends before the LCBO refurbished that station. There was a large abandoned section of the building that was incredibly fun to explore. I wish I had been older and had pictures of it. The LCBO did an excellent job with it.

Hm. I was wondering why they paved over this lot. Brutal. Is this going to be permanent? I thought the whole point of taking that building down was that they needed to build more vertical space??

From today’s Hamilton Spectator.
Has anyone heard what is up with these guys? BARHAV Developments Inc is wholly owned by Wendy’s International who also owns Tim Horton’s. There is a Tim’s on part of this property.

Barhav is the Real Estate company for the Wendy's/Hortons chain. They are getting a LT certificate. This is a routine application.

They just reno'd the interior of that Tim's... why would they want to build a new one?
If they were to get rid of that little strip mall right beside the Tim's (I think there's a convenience str & shawarma place) & put a Wendy's right up the the street, then that's kewl... no problem w/ that! The core needs more chains if done properly.

HOWEVER, a drive-thru would be rediculous! Walk-Thru, Please!!!

drive thru's are banned...yea right. Like here:

http://raisethehammer.org/blog.asp?id=899

by the way, I might be more tempted to chain myself to Eat a Pita (the shawarma place next to Tims) than Lister if they try to demolish it for a Wendy's...some of the greatest cheap eats this city has ever seen can be found there.

That shawarma place is awesome and cheap, and blows wendy's out of the water any day. You should try it...

Let wendy's open on a parking lot if they want a downtown location, don't kick out the little guy.
