Seems like PCI is pretty confident this is going ahead, they do seem to have council on board even though staff aren't so sure about it.

Here are the boards from the open house last week, enjoy.

Thanks for posting - this plan seems to show a path around the back side of the station. No. 6 is marked Station Access"

Context plan from the boards:

phew... I'm more relieved now about the pedestrain path to the station, shouldn't be just transit-oriented. Interesting about the #6 Station Access; it looks like a new entry to the east in addition to the current one to the south.

The Marine Drive station was designed with a second entrance on the east side, about one storey above grade. I have not disembarked from a train at that station so I cannot say whether there is a ticketing level half way between grade and the platforms but it would make sense if the second, above grade entrance were located there.

Ahh I see, thanks for the confirmation. Yes, the ticketing machines are located at the second level, between grade and the platform level.

Here's the second level. Interesting to note that the ticketing machines are faced towards the east side.

There's more pics of the station here:http://canadalinephotos.blogspot.com...e-station.html

The ticketing level is the second level, the same as the presumed second EAST entrance, I can confirm that too.

It seems like not many forumer here actually used the station. BTW, the current walk to the station from the Marine Drive intersection is a bit out-of-way too, it is not a straight line but better described as a curve.

^ that would be brilliant, please build that.

But I gotta wonder how many more variations in renderings (and in Canada Line vehicles) they will make. :p

Seems like it's getting worse with each rendition, out of all of them the preliminary ones seemed the best to me, although I admit not being a big fan of this proposal.

To be fair, this is the only scheme where they had the balls to show the fatness of the building in non-north/south views. I never liked the idea of 400' towers in a sea of 2-storey buildings.

I'm going to have to express my strong disapproval at that. Whatever happened to one of the first renderings anyway? This is a complete step backwards from an aesthetic point of view.

Meh. It's not the sexiest thing ever conceived, but let's face it: it's a residential tower in the middle of an industrial area on the very edge of the city. It's OK if it isn't stunning. In fact, I'm glad it isn't because it could mean more reasonable pricing. Big boxy things have their place.

I too prefer the earlier renderings. While it looks kinda interesting now, I feel that won't age well (kinda like Erikson's twisty towers in the OV). Big fan of the development in general though, just hope they re-render the project again I guess.

Definitely progressive and heading in the right direction. I dont care what this looks like as long as it gets built and has decent density.
