The tippy top of the observation deck of the tower reminds me of the Norman Foster dome of the Reichstag in Berlin.

The core of this building is just huge! It reminds me of the washington monument at about half height.

I can't remember a core ever advancing that far above the rest of the building... Pretty cool.

The Shard is one of the sickest buildings I have ever seen under development. This building will be a major icon in London and will change the skyline forever.

Why is the core so tall, and the rest of the tower much lower. It looks very different, compared to One WTC. I guess they use another construction method. However, good progress here, haven't cheked out that thread for a few months.

Concrete core with steel floors usually progress like this. Comcast was much the same.
