The short answer is: Most of them.

Here is the long answer:

I have been making drawings of Toronto proposals since 2008, most of them within a month of them being proposed. After a quick review of the Toronto diagram, I see about 16 towers that have been outright cancelled since then, and another 15 or so that have been cancelled but other towers have taken thier place on the same site. (see 1 Bloor as a prime example of this) Also, since 2008, there have been 69 towers built or are now U/C. All of these 85 towers are 400 feet or higher. (122 meters) This translates to 81% of towers proposed since 2008 (that are not still listed as proposals) being built or started construction and 19% being cancelled. Of course, there are still many towers (over 400 feet) that are still listed as proposals after all this time. One of the oldest is Cumberland Terrace Re-development, which I made a drawing of in January 2009. As of right now there are 88 towers over 400 feet listed as Proposals. It might be 80% of them getting built, but who really knows?

^I hope you're right, especially regarding all the recently announced massive proposals. Great work with all your drawings, by the way. Without you, caltrane, and a couple of other contributors of photos, drawings, and computer renderings, someone like me, who isn't downtown very often, wouldn't know what's going on.

I had no idea Cumberland Terrace is such an old proposal. The oldest still-active highrise developments I can think of are Cityplace and whatever that 20-tower complex at Leslie/Sheppard is called. Cityplace has been under construction for 10-or-so years (and we're waiting for the Signature design), but the other one was nothing but a pile of dirt for more than 5 years. Now it's well underway.

I'm glad they went for some height here. Low/midrise made sense further to the west along the waterfront, but a tall building works beautifully here.

The proposed redevelopment of the site involves the construction of a 65 Storey rental residential tower atop a heritage podium base, which will be reconstructed to depict the appearance of the original heritage building. 580 dwelling units are being proposed with a commercial component.

The redevelopment of that lot is a big surprise, but it goes to show that no small piece of downtown real estate is being overlooked by developers. A 65 floor condo attached to the Eaton Centre would be first, however. I suppose this will be 200m+.

For the uninitiated can you explain the difference? Am I right in thinking that it solely means there will be just one landlord and the public will not be permitted to own the units?

^Seems so, yes. Odd place for an apartment building.

Yes. Condos are generally purchased or if they are rented they come with more rights to make changes to the condo than an apartment building would have.

Neither do I, so when I go to Toronto I try to get as many pictures of different construction sites as possible. There is so much right now that I can't get them all in one day.

I don't even know what to say...
I like the left tower until it turns to the white material.
The middle tower looks like it's made of toilet paper.
The third tower looks like Behemoth and Leviathan rammed into each other.
Podium also looks like toilet paper.
